These pictures are just a small sampling of our favorites taken in the Gateway Mountain nature and wildlife preserve over the past few years.  Most were taken from the building areas of lots and accurately reflect the scenery and mountain views that home owners see from their decks and windows.  Some were taken from recreation areas within the community such as Standing Rock Falls and Lake George.

Changes in the season, lighting and time of day greatly affect the views and provide dynamic, never ending changes in color and character.  Early morning and late afternoon sunlight tends to highlight the foliage and mountains, providing bold contrasts, vivid colors and unique shadowing.  Every moment is a little different and never repeated in quite the same way.

It's easy to see why we think our area is one of the most beautiful in Western North Carolina.  What we can't show you are the spectacular mountain views seen from the lots and homes at night.  You'll have to come see that for yourself!
